Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an Associate Director Revenue Cycle - Pre Authorization Unit to manage daily Revenue Cycle operations and oversee support functions including authorizations, pre-service financial clearance, billing, denials, and customer service. Lead planning, staff recruitment and development to drive growth and efficiency.

The role requires a degree and five years of revenue cycle experience, including two years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Five years revenue cycle experience with at least two years in supervision.
• Experience with large group physician billing and payor rules/regulations.
• Ability to improve cash flow and meet AR benchmarks and customer service goals.

Responsibilities

• Provides operations oversight of Revenue Cycle billing and collection activities; aligns with strategic goals and benchmarks.
• Establishes short- and long-range billing and collections goals; communicates policy changes to staff.
• Reviews dashboards and reports to spot trends; analyzes volumes and sources of charges and collections.
• Monitors compliance with regulations, contracts, and billing policies; stays current on payer guidelines and communicates changes to staff.
• Sets performance goals; coaches staff; performs quality checks to minimize errors and reports results to leadership.
• Ensures tools, training, and mentoring for high functioning revenue cycle teams; supports policy development and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates across the enterprise as part of revenue cycle leadership; promotes professionalism across the team.
