UVA Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Supervisor to lead a 19-person team focused on preauthorization and financial clearance for infusion services. You will guide staff, optimize workflows, and partner with clinical teams and payers to minimize authorization delays, ensuring timely access to care.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of systems used in medical provider billing (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9-10) and modifiers; thorough knowledge of third-party billing and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 19 Preauthorization Coordinators supporting infusion services.
• Oversee staffing resources, productivity, quality metrics, and service level goals.
• Serve as first point of contact for escalations, patient concerns, and complex authorization issues.
• Monitor work queues and workflows to ensure timely financial clearance.
• Partner with clinical teams, providers, and payers to resolve barriers to patient access.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and workflow documentation.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to improve performance and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements, regulatory expectations, and organizational policies.
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding financial clearance and authorization matters.
