Job summary

Seattle YMCA seeks a Senior Director of Revenue and Accounts Receivable to lead the organization’s revenue cycle, billing accuracy, grant billing, and collections. This role drives cash forecasting and revenue system integrations to support mission-driven programs.

Reporting to the AVP Controller, the leader will manage the Grants Billing team and supervise accounting staff, ensuring audit readiness and strong internal controls across revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years supervisory.
• Experience with external audits, single audits, and Form 990 preparation.
• Treasury, cash forecasting, and internal control design experience.
• Familiarity with revenue systems and ERP integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Traction Rec).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for all revenue cycle operations: billing, receivables, cash application and collections.
• Set standards for timely, accurate billing across programs, memberships, grants, childcare and fundraising.
• Guide revenue forecasting and collection strategies for financial planning and stability.
• Ensure accurate revenue close: subledger reconciliations and revenue accruals.
• Oversee A/R controls: cash application accuracy, unapplied cash resolution, collection metrics.
• Develop SOPs and templates for billing, receivables, and grant reimbursements.
