Job summary

FastMed is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Management in Durham, NC. You will lead day-to-day revenue cycle operations, develop policies, and coordinate initiatives to drive high-quality outcomes while engaging internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strategic direction, oversight of patient access, billing, coding, collections, and denials management, with a focus on improving cash flow and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in healthcare billing and/or coding management
• At least 5 years prior leadership in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance and/or Accounting

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the revenue cycle function of the organization.
• Oversee and manage patient access, billing, coding, collections and denials.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance and cash flow.
• Track and analyze performance metrics for provider revenue cycle and share data with ELT.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor trends to identify opportunities; initiate training to reduce denials.
• Lead contract negotiations with payor sources and manage team performance.
