Job summary

SYSTEM West Virginia University Health System in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Revenue Cycle Support Specialist to manage and respond to billing and insurance communications.

You will process correspondence, assist with denials and appeals, and coordinate with billing and patient financial services to ensure accurate, timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with processing correspondence is expected.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and payer guidelines preferred.
• Experience with insurance denials and appeals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process all incoming billing and insurance‑related correspondence.
• Draft and send responses to insurers, patients, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic systems.
• Track unresolved items and escalate to appropriate teams.
• Support denial management with appeal letters and documentation.
• Assist in audit preparation and update correspondence templates.
• Provide regular reports on correspondence volume and status.
