Qualifications

• 2 years of patient accounting experience in a physician office, hospital, or medical collections or equivalent knowledge and ability to execute essential functions of this job description.
• Extensive customer service skills and proficiency with computer applications.
• Experience with third‑party follow‑up, government follow‑up, patient collections, account resolution, billing, and/or cash applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of billing, collection and follow-up functions for direct, third‑party and government patient accounts.
• Identify and respond to claim denial trends, posting error trends and/or complex inquiry calls for routing.
• Research payer guidelines and systems to maintain the highest integrity of the Medical Group and to prevent filing deadlines that would hinder revenue intake.
• Analyze various reports to keep leadership informed and ensure compliance.
