The Revenue Audit Supervisor provides direct oversight of the revenue audit department and staff. Supervisors ensure that all documents and reports are generated, completed, and reviewed according to the Code of State Regulations and the company's accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Maintain the Revenue Audit department’s general accounting for revenue, auditing reports, internal controls, statistical reporting, daily distribution of non-gaming and casino performance, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and upload revenue journal entries to the general ledger for all revenues and related expenses.
- Analyze audit paperwork and reports; develop and implement efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and review daily audits across various areas including Cage, Slots, Jackpots/W-2Gs, Table Games, Poker, F&B, Gift Shop, Manual Comps/Adjustments, and Tax Submissions.
- Enhance staff effectiveness through coaching, counseling, training, and disciplinary actions; plan, delegate, monitor, and evaluate job tasks and results.
- Coordinate office technology needs; ensure staff training on systems, policies, and procedures.
- Represent Live! Casino to external agencies, consultants, and organizations.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Aristocrat systems (PitBOSS, Super-Playmate, BlackBart, Marketing Manager), as well as NEWave, Micros, and Kronos is preferred.
- Ability to perform 10-key data entry efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communication at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational, planning, communication, and PC skills.
- Experience in creating and analyzing spreadsheets or similar data reports.
- Team player attitude.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
- Analytical thinking, basic math skills, and ability to interpret spreadsheets, emails, and procedures.
- Capacity to make independent decisions and recommendations.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- One to two years of casino experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Two years of experience working in a Revenue Audit department.
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board or other regulatory bodies, and company standards.
