Job summary

Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, WA invites an experienced Revenue Audit Specialist to lead daily audit activities, maintain accurate recording of casino and non-gaming revenue, and uphold internal controls across the Revenue Audit function.

You’ll supervise audits, analyze reports, coach staff, and ensure timely communications with management while delivering exceptional guest service and integrity in all financial processes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Two years of casino revenue audit experience in a supervisory/lead role may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Two years of related accounting experience (account reconciliations, journal entries and bank reconciliations on a computerized general ledger system) required.
• One year of gaming industry experience preferred.
• Expert acumen and continued proficiency in all audits for 24+ consecutive months.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and maintain guest service standards.
• Maintain the Revenue Audit department’s accounting for revenue, internal controls, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze audit paperwork; develop recommendations for improved efficiency.
• Review daily audits and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure all transactional activity is recorded timely and accurately.
• Communicate issues to management in a timely and efficient manner.
• Promote effective communication with internal and external guests and meet their requirements.
• Assist and review daily audits across multiple departments including Cage, Table Games, and Food & Beverage.
• Coach, train, and develop staff; delegate tasks and manage performance.
• Coordinate office technology and ensure staff training on systems and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Practice, support and promote the Mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort (MCR).
• Maintain the Revenue Audit department’s general accounting for revenue and auditing reporting, internal controls, statistical reporting, daily distribution of non-gaming and casino performance, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze audit paperwork and reports; develops and implements recommendations for improved efficiency.
• Review daily audits, exception reports, and audit documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure all transactional activity is recorded timely and accurately.
• Ensure fraud risk findings are communicated to and investigated by appropriate property personnel.
• Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner.
• Promote, develop, and maintain effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with internal and external guests, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met.
• Assist, monitor, and review daily audit of the following areas including but not limited to: Cage, VGD, Jackpots/W-2Gs, Table Games, Poker, F&B, Gift Shop, and Manual Comps/Adjustments
• Improve staff effectiveness by coaching, counseling, training, and recommending corrective action for team members; and planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the technology needs of the office; ensures staff is fully trained on systems, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with and represents MIC to external agencies, consultants and other organizations and individuals.
• Assist staff to ensure all job duties are completed in a timely manner and in the case of absences.
• Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
