Job summary

FIS is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Capital Markets Accounting team in Jacksonville. The role will own revenue accounting activities for designated business lines and serve as a key resource for revenue recognition under ASC 606.

This position requires strong month-end/quarter-end close performance and expertise in Excel and Oracle. Hybrid work arrangement (Tuesday-Thursday in-office) and opportunities to support audits, acquisitions, and system initiatives are

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including month-end/quarter-end close activities and exposure to revenue accounting.
• Expertise with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly revenue accounting process for assigned Capital Markets businesses.
• Evaluate and account for customer contracts and revenue arrangements in compliance with ASC 606.
• Review and approve revenue related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Review and analyze revenue related income statement and balance sheet results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with FIS accounting policies and SOX/internal controls requirements.
• Support quarterly and annual audits.
• Support strategic initiatives, including acquisition integrations, system implementations, and process transformation projects.

About The Role

FIS is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Capital Markets Accounting team. This role will own revenue accounting activities for designated business lines within our Capital Markets segment and serve as a key resource for revenue recognition matters under ASC 606. The ideal candidate brings a foundation in revenue accounting and the ability to lead/navigate through month-end/quarter-end close activities on a timely basis.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly revenue accounting process for assigned Capital Markets businesses
• Evaluate and account for customer contracts and revenue arrangements in compliance with ASC 606
• Review and approve revenue related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation

What You Bring

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including month-end/quarter-end close activities and exposure to revenue accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience
• Experience within technology, software, SaaS, fintech, or financial services organizations
