Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Revenue Accounting Data Product Owner to lead the business-side design and adoption of a revenue-recognition data platform. You will translate policy into a prioritized backlog, align with Finance, and ensure close-process controls are embedded in scalable data pipelines using Azure and Snowflake.

You will drive automations, governance, and value realization across multiple practice groups, balancing enterprise standardization with local variation while mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• 7+ years in finance transformation, revenue accounting, revenue cycle, healthcare finance, product management, business analysis, or related functions.
• Experience translating complex accounting requirements into technology backlogs and business requirements.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, accruals, close-cycle, reconciliations, controls, and management reporting.
• Experience with data, analytics, or enterprise data products.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills in multi-priority environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap and delivery plan for the Revenue Recognition Data Product, including data onboarding, quality, reconciliation, controls, and production support.
• Architect and build scalable ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Azure and Snowflake.
• Translate accounting requirements into transparent, version-controlled transformation logic with policy ownership in Accounting.
• Establish automated reconciliations among source systems, subledgers, RCM platforms, and the general ledger.
• Produce auditable documentation, including mappings, rules, and data dictionaries; lead close calendar milestones.
• Mentor engineers and lead multiple practice groups through onboarding and standardization.
