Job summary

Planet Labs PBC is seeking a high-impact Revenue Accounting Transformation Manager to lead modernization and automation of our global revenue engine. You will bridge commercial innovation with revenue compliance, guiding end-to-end Q2C transformations and ensuring scalable, auditable processes.

You'll collaborate across ERP systems, data warehouses, and finance teams, while aligning with Product, Sales Ops, and Pricing to support new monetization models.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of revenue accounting experience in SaaS or high-growth environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Information Systems, or comparable.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience with SOX 404 compliance and IT controls.
• Experience implementing or managing ERPs and revenue subledgers.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure automated revenue subledgers.
• Modernize end-to-end Q2C workflows and reduce manual journal entries.
• Collaborate across ERP, subledgers, and data warehouses for data alignment.
• Automate ASC 606 disclosures and dashboards with reconciliations.
• Work with Product, Sales Ops, and Pricing on revenue rules for new products.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on revenue systems and processes.
• Design, document, and test key SOX controls.
• Maintain SOPs and train finance teams on updated workflows.
• Ensure ASC 606 compliance across automated rules and data flows.
