  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures across the returns department.
  • Coordinate the returns schedule with Client Services and Receiving Manager.
  • Supervise returns personnel to ensure SLA adherence.
  • Assess employee performance and recommend promotions/merit adjustments.
  • Audit return processes and orders to ensure SOP compliance.

Job DetailsJob Location: UT 3581 S Mountain Vista Pkwy - Provo, UT 84606Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.00 - $22.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayThe Returns Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the entire returns process and staffing. The Returns Supervisor communicates with Clients, Client Services and team members involved in the return process ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient returns' processing, and product quality for all the in-house clients at the Livingston facility. This position involves strategic planning and approval processes to ensure efficient workflow and productivity. The Returns Supervisor will effectively communicate job expectations to team members, monitor their performance, and provide coaching and guidance to foster professional development. Additionally, the supervisor will enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues through appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary. This role is essential for collaborating closely with teams across Receiving, Returns, Finance, and Quality Control to drive process improvements and uphold operational excellence.

Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee all return inbounds from clients, implement and enhance return practices to drive significant improvements in productivity, quality by preparing and completing action plans.
  • Manage the clients’ returns process and ensure timely turnaround of customers’, retailers’ and factory returns.
  • Identify and resolve root causes for processing errors and drive permanent corrective actions to ensure accurate processing and restocking of returned goods.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures across the returns department to maintain operational consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Client Services and Receiving Manager to coordinate the returns schedule and ensure accurate storage and tracking of the returned goods.
  • Supervise returns personnel and activities to ensure adherence to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Assess employee performance, providing recommendations for promotions and merit increases based on evaluations.
  • Execute audits of return processes and return orders to ensure the returns team is adhering to the established guidelines/SOPs.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support overall warehouse operations and business objectives.
QualificationsJob Specifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment is required.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, return processing, and/or quality management within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration among team members.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective processes.
  • Team Orientation: Must be a dedicated team player, capable of teaching, coaching, and motivating others to achieve their best performance.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred.
