Job summary

Inteplast Group in New York State seeks a Returns-Claims Coordinator to manage customer issues from report to disposition, including returns to manufacturers or credits to accounts. This role requires attention to policy, accuracy in documentation, and coordination with carriers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has an AS degree and experience with MS Office; SAP is a plus. You will work in an office setting with standard business hours and occasional non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent with 1–2 years related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue Return of Goods Authorizations to customers and distribution partners as related to damages or overstock.
• Ensure freight and claims policies and procedures are followed.
• Assist customers and carriers to resolve missing freight or delivery issues.
• File claims with freight carriers and assure reimbursement from carriers as applicable.
• Track shipments and provide Proof of Delivery to customers.
• Respond to and adjudicate claims related to shortages and damages in transit.
• Issue credit memos, reship shortages, and invoice customers for overages.
• Review aging reports for discrepancies and coordinate with Accounts Receivable to manage chargebacks and verify deductions.
• Maintain open communication with Texas, West Virginia, and Tennessee facilities regarding freight and claims issues.
• Resolve customer service problems with shipping and inform Returns and Claims Specialist of ongoing issues.
