Job summary

SHI International Corp. in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Returns Clerk to join our Returns Materials Authorization team.

You will process RMAs, inspect shipments, coordinate with vendors, and communicate clearly with sales and logistics to ensure accurate and timely returns processing. This role reports to the Piscataway office and requires attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Completed high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in warehouse roles and shipping processes preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move/package items as needed.
• Basic PC skills for inventory tracking, Word, and Outlook use.
• Familiarity with shipping software (UPS/FedEx/DHL) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process RMAs and inspect shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Coordinate with vendors for RA confirmations and questions.
• Explain issues clearly to internal teams and vendors.
• Repackage and ship RMAs, using UPS systems and scales.
• Document key information in SharePoint.
• Handle inventory labeling, storage, and organization.
• Prepare and fulfill orders, including picking and packing.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
• Assist loading/unloading trucks and ensure safety.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse workspace and safety adherence.
• Coordinate with logistics to schedule/track shipments.

Job Summary

SHI has an exciting opportunity in our Returns Materials Authorization department as Returns Clerk. This position will be working as part of a team processing all daily RMA's returned by customers in a timely manner. A successful candidate will be utilizing their communication skills to interface with both sales representatives and vendors throughout the returns process.

This position will report to the SHI Piscataway office.

Role Description

• Process RMA's thru AX
• Inspect each package for correct items, broken items, missing items, and record any problems with the package
• Contact vendors for confirmation and validation of RA's and other questions regarding RA
• Express issues/problems/concerns clearly to both internal employees and vendors
• Repackage and shipping of RMA's
• Utilization of the UPS shipping machine - internal shipping program and scales
• Field general questions from sales
• Documenting important information in a SharePoint sites
• Shipping freight by palletizing and strapping shipment
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality of goods.
• Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling and storage of products.
• Prepare and fulfill orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and organize inventory.
• Perform regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, ensuring efficient handling of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety and operational standards.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Perform general warehouse tasks such as labeling, sorting, and repacking as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $35,360 - $50,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary, are $35,360 - $50,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
