Job summary

SHI International has an exciting opportunity in our Returns Materials Authorization department as Returns Clerk. This role processes RMAs daily, inspecting items, recording discrepancies, and communicating with sales representatives and vendors to validate returns.

You will package and ship RMAs, operate warehouse equipment, and maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced environment at the Piscataway office. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork are essential.

This position will be working as part of a team processing all daily RMA's returned by customers in a timely manner. A successful candidate will be utilizing their communication skills to interface with both sales representatives and vendors throughout the returns process.This position will report to the SHI Piscataway office.**Role Description*** Process RMA's thru AX* Inspect each package for correct items, broken items, missing items, and record any problems with the package* Contact vendors for confirmation and validation of RA's and other questions regarding RA* Express issues/problems/concerns clearly to both internal employees and vendors* Repackage and shipping of RMA's* Utilization of the UPS shipping machine - internal shipping program and scales* Field general questions from sales* Documenting important information in a SharePoint sites* Shipping freight by palletizing and strapping shipment* Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality of goods.* Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling and storage of products.* Prepare and fulfill orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.* Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and organize inventory.* Perform regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.* Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, ensuring efficient handling of goods.* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety and operational standards.* Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers.* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues and ensure smooth operations.* Perform general warehouse tasks such as labeling, sorting, and repacking as needed.**Behaviors and Competencies*** Detail-Oriented: Can demonstrate an ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned.* Communication: Can communicate simple ideas and information clearly.* Organization: Can maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow simple organizational systems when assigned.* Teamwork: Can understand the importance of teamwork and is developing the ability to contribute effectively to team efforts.* Problem-Solving: Can demonstrate a willingness to address and resolve problems when they arise.* Reliability: Can demonstrate a willingness to complete assigned tasks on time and meet expectations.* Adaptability: Can demonstrate a willingness to accept feedback and adjust to new tasks or changes in the workplace.* Time Management: Can understand the importance of time management and strives to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.* Following Instructions: Can demonstrate a willingness to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks as directed.* Multi-Tasking: Can demonstrate a willingness to take on multiple tasks and responsibilities when assigned.**Skill Level Requirements*** Proficient in using PCs or laptops to track inventories, reorder supplies, and generate reports - Basic* The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently - Basic* Experience with UPS, FedEx, DHL and 3rd party shipping software preferred - Basic**Other Requirements*** Completed High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required* Experience with package handling preferred* Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.The base salary range for this position is $35,360 - $50,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary, are $35,360 - $50,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
