Job summary

Born Primitive is hiring a Returns Associate to join the Returns and Exchanges team in Virginia Beach. You will scan, sort, and organize returns inventory, process customer returns, and help resolve issues to ensure items re-enter inventory accurately and customers stay satisfied.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. It is a full-time, on-site position at $20.00 per hour, with potential benefits and incentive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience is preferred.
• 2+ years in customer contact/service is preferred.
• Apparel industry experience is preferred.

The Returns Associate will serve as a versatile team member by assisting the returns and exchanges team as they process returns and aim to return apparel to inventory.

Responsibilities

Returns Department Support

• Scan, sort and organize returns inventory
• Process and handle customer returns in accordance with company policies.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to product returns, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Returns team to optimize processes and minimize return-related challenges.

Versatility and Adaptability

• Serve as a floater between the different tasks associated with the Returns department as needed.
• Quickly adapt to changing priorities and assist in areas with high demand or staffing shortages.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency to ensure effective support.

Flexibility in Dynamic Work Environments

• Recognize that the Returns Department may experience fluctuations in business demands.
• Be flexible and able to switch gears constantly to meet the evolving needs of the business, including providing support to other departments
• Contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment, supporting team members during peak periods.

Brand & Product Knowledge

• Develop a deep understanding of our brand, products, and services.
• Stay informed about product features, specifications, and updates.
• Utilize brand and product knowledge to enhance customer interactions and provide accurate information.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience (Preferred)
• 2+ years of related customer contact/ service industry experience preferred.
• Apparel Industry Experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible to constant changes
• Good communication skills and ability to work with a team
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs quickly
• Create and maintain a quality, professional work environment. Maintain a positive relationship with all co-workers and colleagues
• Must be available to work flex schedule of Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Occasional weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to lift packages anywhere from 2-50lbs.

Compensation Information: Born Primitive is committed to pay transparency. The compensation for this position is $20.00/hour. This is a full-time hourly position. This position may also be eligible for additional benefits and incentive compensation, where applicable.
