Position Overview:

As a Retrofit Technician, you will perform repairs and corrections on vehicles to ensure they are safe and saleable, following engineering directives. Additional diagnostics and repairs may be required.

Salary: Starting at $20 per hour, based on experience.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 6 am to 3 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic to moderate automotive repairs.
• Remove and install vehicle parts as needed.
• Diagnose vehicle issues upon arrival.
• Program vehicle modules using specialized software.
• Address unspecified vehicle problems, applying knowledge and procedures.
• Adhere to company values and support the mission and vision of Suburban Automotive Services.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Own a cell phone for communication.
• Basic to moderate computer skills for vehicle module programming.
• Own basic hand and power tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, impacts, ratchets, grinders).
• Experience with battery chargers, maintainers, and special equipment (hoist, transmission jacks, cherry pickers).
• Knowledge of proper fluid handling.
