Goodyear in Tampa, FL is hiring an Automotive Technician for our retread team. Experience isn’t required as training is provided; we will train you in any skills required and start you on a rewarding career.

In this role you will inspect tires for retreadability, buff the casing, remove debris, repair as needed, apply new tread, cure, and perform final inspections to ensure a safe, quality product. Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour with full benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience isn’t required for this position.
• Basic computer skills may be used for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess retread eligibility.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust and repair the casing.
• Repair the casing with rubber cement or patches.
• Apply new tread and build the tire.
• Cure the tire and perform final inspection.
