Job summary

Baxters North America, Inc. is seeking a Retort Operator to oversee the cooking process, ensuring complete sterilization and top quality of products. The role requires operating retort ovens, loading trays, and monitoring critical process parameters.

The operator will log batch information, verify logs for accuracy, and perform duties listed in SWES/training registers. A High School Diploma or equivalent and prior manufacturing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Approximately 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trays of food into the retort oven after selecting the recipe on the LCD screen.
• Load balancing and schedule workload for retort ovens.
• Monitor cooking process by watching gauges: PSI, Fahrenheit temperature, and water flow (gpm); adjust as needed.
• Record batch details: start/stop times, number of trays, and load counts in logs.
• Verify log sheets during and after shifts for accuracy.
• Perform other duties as listed in SWES and training registers.
