Job summary

Baxters North America Inc. is hiring a Retort Operator 1 for the 2nd shift in East Bernstadt, KY. This role oversees the cooking process in a retort oven, ensuring complete sterilization and high-quality product.

Key duties include loading/unloading trays, scheduling workload, and logging batch data with attention to safety and process controls. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and preferably 6 months of manufacturing experience, with ability to stand for long periods

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the retort oven and loading equipment.
• Load/unload trays of food into the retort oven and manage workflow.
• Schedule workload for loading the retort ovens.
• Monitor gauges for PSI and temperature, adjust to maintain quality.
• Log batch data, tray counts, and load numbers for computer entry.
• Verify log sheets for accuracy during and at end of shift.
• Perform other duties as listed on SWES and training register.
