MainePERS is seeking a Retirement Services Business Leader to guide and develop a team delivering timely, accurate retirement benefits to Maine's public employees and retirees. You will serve as both a people leader and a subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex retirement processes while supporting the team in delivering high-quality service.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, knowledge sharing, and cross‑department collaboration to ensure MainePERS policies and rules

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience leading teams and projects.
• Ability to translate complex retirement policies into practical guidance.
• Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team with day-to-day supervision and performance reviews.
• Serve as subject matter expert for processes, policies, and legal provisions.
• Provide guidance to Specialists and other departments to ensure accurate, timely work.
• Explain statutes, rules, policies, and MainePERS procedures to stakeholders.
• Monitor work using KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop training and maintain policies and user manuals.
