Job summary

Utah Retirement Systems seeks a detail-oriented professional to support Defined Contribution Savings Plans. The role administers 401(k), Roth 401(k), 457(b), and IRA accounts, educating members and ensuring plan integrity.

Responsibilities include counseling participants, processing withdrawals and loans, and maintaining accurate records while upholding confidentiality and service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Preferred CFP, CEBS, or ChFC certifications and experience with employer-sponsored retirement plans.
• Must have knowledge of 401(k), Roth 401(k), 457(b), IRA rules and tax treatment.

Responsibilities

• Answers inbound calls and educates members on tax-advantaged investing within URS plans.
• Counsels participants on plan provisions, contribution options, tax treatment, and distribution rules.
• Processes applications including withdrawals, plan loans, RMDs, and IRA conversions.
• Acts as department cashier and maintains accurate reconciliation records.
• Investigates member issues via phone, mail, email, or other channels.
• Updates educational materials and maintains plan processes with accuracy.
• Provides coverage for other Customer Service Specialists when needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as required.
