ExtensisHR is seeking a Retirement Plan Specialist to support the administration of a ERISA 401(k) plan with >$1B in assets. You will collaborate with recordkeepers, internal teams, adopters, and participants to ensure accurate data and compliant operations.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of retirement plan experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a customer‑focused mindset. The role offers hybrid or remote work and ample benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 1–3 years experience in retirement plan administration or PEO preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new business implementation with the recordkeeper from intro to final asset transfer.
• Monitor participant enrollments, loans and distributions with the recordkeeper.
• Ensure payroll and participant contribution files transfer via API between ExtensisHR and the recordkeeper.
• Conduct periodic audits and data reconciliations; adjust HRIS as needed.
• Provide consulting with the Financial Advisory Team to prospective adopters.
• Answer client 401k questions across departments and document interactions.
• Assist with annual nondiscrimination testing and census files.
• Review plan documents, amendments, and restatements at adopter level.
• Maintain adopter-level plan data in HRIS; stay current on laws.
• Communicate regulatory info to adopting employers and participants.
• Collaborate to identify and resolve plan or participant issues.
