Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a dynamic Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to drive new business growth by selling group retirement plan solutions to businesses, non-profits, and institutions.

The role requires a proven retirement plan sales track record, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to engage plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and institutional clients. The successful candidate will work with internal teams to deliver tailored, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retirement plan sales, financial services, or a related field.
• FINRA Series 65 license required (or Series 7 and 66 or ability to obtain the 65 before start date).
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, fiduciary standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Existing network of contacts within the business and institutional markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets by acquiring new retirement plan clients.
• Identify and engage prospective clients through networking, referrals, and direct outreach to business owners, HR professionals, CFOs, and plan sponsors.
• Consult with organizations to assess retirement plan needs and present tailored solutions that align with fiduciary obligations and business objectives.
• Negotiate and close new business opportunities while adhering to compliance and fiduciary standards.
• Maintain an active pipeline and track sales performance metrics using CRM tools to drive growth.
• Educate and advise clients on 401(k), 403(b), DB plans, non-qualified plans and other retirement solutions.
