Job summary

CBIZ, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to drive new business by selling group retirement plan solutions to businesses, nonprofits, and institutions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in retirement plan sales, FINRA Series 65, and strong knowledge of ERISA and fiduciary standards.

The role requires proactive prospecting, pipeline management, and collaboration with investment advisors and compliance teams to deliver compliant, tailored retirement solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retirement plan sales, financial services, or related field.
• FINRA Series 65 license required (or Series 7 and 66 or ability to obtain the 65 before start date).
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, fiduciary standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Existing network of contacts within business and institutional markets preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets to acquire new retirement plan clients.
• Identify and engage prospective clients through networking, referrals, and direct outreach to owners, HR, CFOs, and sponsors.
• Consult with organizations to assess retirement plan needs and present tailored solutions.
• Negotiate and close opportunities while adhering to fiduciary standards.
• Maintain an active pipeline and track sales metrics using CRM tools.
• Educate clients on 401(k), 403(b), DB plans and other retirement solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with investment advisors, compliance specialists, and plan administrators.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Participate in industry events and CBIZ marketing initiatives.
• Maintain required industry licensing and fiduciary/compliance responsibilities.
