Job summary

FuturePlan, part of Ascensus, is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to manage the overall onboarding of new retirement plans. You will handle client and advisor expectations, ensure service timelines, and drive smooth conversions and transitions to our platform.

You will coordinate with multiple departments, provide training to clients, and escalate risks to leadership. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a client-service mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in MS-Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• 1–3 years of industry experience in financial services or retirement services environment is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Relius, ASC, FT William or similar administration recordkeeping system preferred.
• Basic knowledge of ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations, and plan documents.
• Excellent presentation skills, telephone etiquette and professionalism, client service skills and time management proficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels within the organization and clients.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manages case load to meet service goals with limited supervision.
• Communicates onboarding roles to all involved.
• Collaborates with team to improve implementation processes.
• Coordinates with client and advisor to review documents for plan installation.
• Communicates onboarding progress to internal departments.
• Maintains workflow updates and status reports.
• Provides training and assistance to clients for task completion.
• Ensures tasks are completed by due dates.
• Escalates onboarding risks to leadership as needed.
• Participates in solution teams to define onboarding processes.
• Guides clients and advisors on ongoing admin services.
