Job summary

Transamerica, a part of Aegon, is seeking a Retirement Planning Consultant I in the Danbury, CT area. This full-time role focuses on retirement education, delivering group workshops and one-on-one sessions to help participants pursue a funded retirement.

You will develop client relationships, present educational seminars, and use plan knowledge to guide participants toward their retirement objectives, with travel up to local/less than 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
• FINRA Series 6 or 7; Series 63 or in six months.
• RPA/CRPC or higher certification within 12 months.
• Three years of financial services experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to drive targets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver retirement education through group meetings, webinars, and enrollment sessions.
• Conduct one-on-one retirement planning meetings with employees.
• Build relationships with HR, management, and participants.
• Promote Transamerica products and services for retirement planning.
• Maintain records and support assets within the plan; assist with rollovers.
