Job summary

AC Transit is seeking a Retirement Plan Analyst to provide retirement benefits information, process retirement-related forms, and resolve related issues. The role supports disability retirement processes, prepares materials for the Retirement Board, and may present findings to the Board.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of retirement administration experience, with travel possible between facilities. Union position with AFSCME representation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of professional retirement administration, HR, finance, or payroll experience.
  • Two (2) years in Retirement Plan Associate Analyst or equivalent can substitute two years of education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial calculation of retirement benefits and review materials, work histories, and options.
  • Support disability retirement processes with information from applicants, doctors, and related parties; review medical reports for compliance.
  • Prepare memoranda, reports, and analyses for the Retirement Board; may present to the Board.
