Job summary

Zenith American Solutions is seeking a Retirement Benefits Specialist to process and verify retirement benefit inquiries and applications in line with plan guidelines. The role requires handling PHI/PII with proper discretion and a strong customer service mindset.

You will scan, verify, and update participant data, respond to inquiries, and gather necessary documentation to determine eligibility. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months experience in a professional environment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials, technical procedures, benefit plans and regulations.
• Strong discretion with handling of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of assigned Plan(s).
• Scans applications and documents into the system.
• Processes retirement benefit applications; verifies information and researches past service, related credits, and deductions.
• Responds to inquiries from participants, beneficiaries, and union representatives about retirement benefits.
• Determines benefit eligibility and requests necessary documentation from unions, employers, and SSA.
• Initiates correspondence to participants and employers regarding account information and benefits.
