Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in New Jersey seeks a physician (MD or DO) for general medical services in hospital and practice settings. The physician will deliver high-quality, cost-effective care and participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.

The role requires completion of residency/fellowship, MD or DO license, and board certification or eligibility. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and advance evidence-based medicine

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.
• Current or recent experience in area of specialty.
• MD or DO - licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice. Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen.
• Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
• Demonstrates competency in assessment, treatment, and communication appropriate to patient age.
• Initiates treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams and procedures.
• Reviews lab results and plans actions according to results. Initiates referrals and coordinates patient care with other professionals.
