Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks an Ophthalmology physician to provide comprehensive care in a general ophthalmology setting across Easton and Bethlehem locations.

The role includes performing history and physical examinations, diagnosing and treating eye diseases, and coordinating patient care within the network. Qualified candidates will have an MD or DO with residency/fellowship in ophthalmology, and be licensed to practice; board certification or eligibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with residency and/or fellowship in ophthalmology.
• Current or recent experience in ophthalmology.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Licensed to practice by the State Medical Board.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examination of patients.
• Provide high-quality, cost-effective ophthalmic care based on evidence-based medicine.
• Adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines approved by the medical staff.
• Collaborates with referring physicians, patients and families in care planning.
• Participates in education of patients and their families.
• Maintains knowledge of current ophthalmic practices and safety standards.
