Job summary

SightMD is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician (Retina) to support physicians in patient prep, exam room setup, and a range of diagnostic tests. The role includes assisting with minor procedures, administrative duties, and instrument maintenance at multiple Eye Care locations.

Applicants should have at least 1 year as an Ophthalmic Technician and COA certification, or be enrolled with completion within two years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• COA certification required or enrolled within 1 year and completion within 2 years of hire.
• Strong customer service with professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and document chief complaint accurately.
• Perform pre-exam testing and advanced diagnostics (OCT, fundus photography, A-scan, B-scan).
• Assist with in-office minor surgical procedures and laser treatments.
• Educate patients on medications and post-operative care.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and patient instruction.
