Job summary

Mid Atlantic Retina seeks an ophthalmic technician to join our team. The role involves taking patient histories, performing vision exams, and preparing patients for injections, while administering drops and conducting imaging tests.

You will also handle charting, scribing, and related duties to support physicians. The ideal candidate has a strong patient‑facing orientation, is comfortable with EMR, and willing to learn across multiple imaging modalities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1 year health care experience or equivalent medical training desired (but not required).
• Desire to work with patients.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories in the EMR system.
• Perform vision exams and prep patients for injections.
• Administer eye drops and perform imaging tests.
• Complete charting, scribing and other tasks.
