Job summary

uBreakiFix by Asurion in Jersey City, NJ is hiring a Retail Technician to repair devices, assist customers, and grow with ongoing training. You will troubleshoot phones and tablets, communicate tech concepts clearly, and contribute to a fast-paced store team.

This role offers a starting wage of $15–$16.50 per hour with a monthly store incentive, paid time off, and continuous development opportunities. Weekend flexibility and a supportive, inclusive team culture are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 6–12+ months of retail, repair, or customer service experience (preferred).
• Some knowledge of smartphones/OS/hardware.
• Bonus points for soldering or tech repair skills.
• Friendly, organized, motivated team players.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair phones, tablets, and more.
• Explain tech in simple terms to customers.
• Hit performance goals and earn uncapped commission.
• Manage store inventory.
• Package and ship devices for same-day service.
• Promote Connected Home tech protection plans.
• Work flexible retail hours (incl. weekends).
