Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Team Member to engage customers and fellow team members, support selling initiatives, and perform assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The role requires adaptability, reliability, and a commitment to safety, including the care of poultry and operating store equipment.

Responsibilities include cash handling, merchandising, loading purchases, and maintaining a clean, organized store.

Qualifications

• No experience required; retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required; reading, writing and counting accurately required.
• Preferred knowledge: farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer; Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants; Recommend Product Solutions; Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures.
• Recovery of merchandise; participate in mandatory freight process; complete Plan-o-gram procedures; assemble merchandise; perform janitorial duties; execute price changes/markdowns; operate forklift and cardboard baler (age restrictions apply); assist customers with loading purchases.
• Ensure customers have a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from the competition; ensure safety and well‑being of birds; sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks.
