Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership candidate to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across multiple departments. You will mentor and coach team members, implement strategies to improve customer service, and drive store sales while ensuring branch standards are met.

The role emphasizes staff development, performance coaching, and ensuring prime shopping hours with strong product presentation and a safe, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development for team members and involvement in promotion decisions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed customer service and sales goals.
