Job summary

Goodwill of the Great Plains in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Retail Team Leader to guide store operations and deliver exemplary customer service in a clean, inviting, and shoppable store.

The role includes opening and closing the store, training staff, handling cash, processing donations, and ensuring procedures are followed on the sales floor. Eligible for benefits after 30 days, including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with paid holidays and personal days.

Qualifications

• At least two years of prior retail sales experience, with opening/closing responsibilities preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in use of cash register and affiliated duties (giving correct change, etc.).
• Drivers License and proof of Insurance required if frequently driving as part of job duties.

Responsibilities

• Opening and/or closing the store, ensuring store is open during the posted hours of operations; safe, office, and outer doors are locked upon leaving the building; paperwork is done accurately, etc.
• Oversee store operations in absence of manager and assistant manager and report to them any issues that arise
• Train and evaluate store employees and/or persons served when applicable
• May be called upon to correct EBT errors
• Count down cash drawers
• Ensure all cash, deposits, and cash drawers are place in safe and that safe door is closed and locked
• Accept donated items in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner per store guidelines
• Process donated items to produce inventory for sales floor
• Follow store procedures for sales floor cashiering, customer service, merchandise handling, and upkeep

Position Type: Full-Time

Wages: $16.97 hourly
