Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Detroit, MI is hiring a Retail Team Leader (Key Holder) to support daily store operations, lead sales associates, and deliver exceptional customer service during our open, full-time schedule. The role requires 1–2 years of retail experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills.

You will participate in opening and closing the store, stock merchandise, manage cash deposits, and help train the team while upholding food safety and store standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible full‑time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store.
• Support daily store operations and tasks for the day.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and transferring merchandise to shelves.
• Maintain merchandise rotation and proper product handling.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with inquiries.
• Cash handling: deposits, making change, and counting registers.
• Help train and develop store team members.
