Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Salem, Illinois to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers warmly, and help organize merchandise from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and store management experience in retail or grocery settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
