Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Mobile, Alabama to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, support opening and closing procedures, and ensure merchandise is organized and displayed to company standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to daily tasks while protecting store assets and upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures and displays to ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean (bathrooms, floors) and restock as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
