Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a Retail Supervisor to assist the Retail Manager in unit operations, floor management, staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service excellence.

The role involves overseeing cashier stations, training hourly staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards while working closely with the General Manager to meet financial goals and company initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bachelor’s or business degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities; work well as a team leader; problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times.
• Handle guests’ complaints and resolve them according to customer service standards.
• Monitor and supervise setup and maintenance of retail area and cashier stations to ensure quality standards.
• Complete sales in POS in an accurate, efficient and friendly manner; assist clerks with same.
• Assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the unit’s staff at the direction of the General Manager.
• Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff’s development.
• Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, inventory, housekeeping, sanitation, cash control, dress, and employee hygiene.
• Notify General Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.
• Assist management team with inventory procedures as directed.
• Receive and verify quantities of merchandise, organize and stock store, set displays.
• Perform opening and/or closing procedures.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.
• Assist the Retail Manager with Summer Adventure Operations.
• Assist the Retail Manager with other duties, as assigned.
