Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help protect company assets.

In this role you will lead store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, follow planograms, and ensure safe, efficient checkout experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Strong math skills for calculations and percentages.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Experience handling cash and operating a POS system.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with merchandise and questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, collect payment and give change.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, follow planograms.
• Ensure store cleanliness and safety; open/close procedures as assigned.
• Assist in bank deposits and occasional travel to other store locations.
