Job summary

East Coast Cannabis is seeking a Retail Supervisor to guide Retail Associates on the sales floor and support daily retail operations in Maine, ensuring compliant customer experiences under Maine Adult Use regulations.

This hands-on leadership role manages store flow, sales performance, and team engagement during operating hours, stepping in as the point of leadership when managers are unavailable. Requires 3+ years in customer service and cannabis knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years customer service experience.
• Retail, sales, or restaurant experience required.
• Cannabis industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the retail store following the Manager Opening and Closing checklist.
• Act as the on-site store leader when Assistant Retail Managers or the Store Manager are not available.
• Support Retail Associates during operating hours to ensure smooth customer flow and effective sales interactions.
• Uphold ECC security standards and operational protocols.
• Assist with high-touch customer interactions and transaction processing.
• Reinforce store sales goals as directed by the Retail Manager.
• Provide knowledgeable, compliant product recommendations.
• Serve as a resource for Retail Associates on sales techniques, product knowledge, and brand standards.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of all retail products and accurately represent them in alignment with ECC brand standards.
• Demonstrate cannabis knowledge including industry trends, local regulations, testing standards, and manufacturing methodologies.
• Share product and cannabis education with team members to support confidence and compliance.
• Receive cannabis and non-cannabis inventory following ECC inventory receipt protocols.
• Perform basic inventory management, including daily counts and reconciliation.
• Maintain organized inventory storage, handling, and movement.
• Merchandise and zone store inventory to maintain visual and brand standards.
• Perform accurate cash handling, register counts, and transaction processing.
• Assist with basic updates to in-house menus, displays, and printed materials.

Key Responsibilities

Store Leadership & Operations

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time position
• Must be available for opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Retail operating hours: 7:00 AM - 9:30 PM
