Job summary

Work World in Hayward, CA is hiring a part-time Retail Store Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations and coach sales associates.

You will open/close, greet customers, manage transactions, control inventory, and direct workflow on the floor while delivering excellent service. This role requires 1–2 years in retail and supervisory experience, willingness to work nights/weekends, and a professional appearance.

• Retail experience is preferred.
• Sales and supervising experience is preferred.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Bi-Lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of products and services to customers.
• Assist customers with requests in store and over the phone.
• Open and close the store.
• Direct workflow on the sales floor.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and polite manner.
• Maintain store organization and cleanliness.
• Complete transactions at the cash register and issue receipts.
• Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Schedule: Part-time

Compensation: $19.00-$23.00 (DOE)

Location: Hayward, CA

What You’ll be Doing:

• Demonstrate knowledge of products and services to customers
• Assist customers with request in store and over the phone
• Open and close the store
• Direct workflow on the sales floor
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and polite manner
• Always maintain store organization and cleanliness
• Complete customers transactions at the cash register including taking payments, and issuing receipts
• Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

What You’ll Need:

• 1-2 years of retail customer service experience preferred
• Sales and supervising experience is preferred
• Willing to work nights and weekends
• Excellent Customer Service
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated sales skills and experience
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must possess a valid driver's license
