Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Neptune City, NJ, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations. You will assist with functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store staff.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a high-energy team environment. This is a part-time position based at the Neptune City store with responsibilities spanning opening/closing procedures,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as described.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked areas and secure store assets
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
