ALDI USA is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, supervise the team, and develop actionable plans to improve performance. The role includes scheduling, training, and maintaining store standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI.
• 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist their direct reports in achieving enhanced performance.
• Models core company values to create teamwork and ownership among employees.
• Monitors the competitive environment within the community and informs leadership of adjustments needed.
• Provides product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicates weekly information, milestones, developments, and concerns.
• Ensures inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies are followed.
• Resolves operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identifies hazards and maintains store equipment in proper working order.
• Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage.
• Maintains stock levels through product ordering and merchandising.
• Ensures product quality and accurate signage.
