Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Rockford, IL is seeking a Retail Store Processor to sort and price donated merchandise and help keep the store organized. This role supports production goals and provides friendly service to donors.

You will work 24 hours a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with paid training and ongoing coaching. Benefits include vacation and sick time, a 403(b) retirement plan, and employer‑funded options.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price donated merchandise.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise

• Help track and report production numbers

• Move processed merchandise to sales floor

• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors

• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments

• Maintain clean work and storage spaces

• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
