Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price, and prepare donated goods, keeping the store organized and meeting production goals. Training is provided and teamwork is essential in a fast-paced thrift environment.

Working hours are 40 per week with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. This role includes performing basic math, operating a computer, and providing strong customer service to support our mission-driven programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise and maintain accuracy.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing studies.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor.
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work with team to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
