Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Madison, WI is seeking a Retail Store Processor to handle donations, prepare merchandise, and help meet production goals.

You will sort, tag, price items, track production numbers, move merchandise to the sales floor, and work with a team to keep the store organized. Training is provided and a flexible schedule is required to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.

• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
