Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ames, IA is seeking a motivated Retail Store Processor to handle donated goods, keep the shop organized, and support production goals. This part-time role offers paid training and opportunities to develop retail and customer service skills.

You will sort, tag, price merchandise, report production numbers, move items to the sales floor, and assist with loading donations. Flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
